Our Guestbook and Site Comments

First, I want to congratulate you on your outstanding website! I believe it is the most informative, well-put-together, and beautiful website I've come across. Thank you for all the time and effort you have put into it.  I would like more information on the School of Abraham. I would like to register for the newsletter.  I attended the LDSHEA and UHEA conferences this past weekend and found out about the conference you just held in Bellevue from Jack Monnett. I would like to be on your mailing list for future events. I will definitely be there next year!  Thank you,  Candace

I want to thank all the people involved with the School of Abraham website.  It is a goldmine.  I've been homeschooling for 11 years, and I know a gold mine when I see one.  I have been on a continual treasure hunt, researching to find the very best way to teach each subject.  How thankful I am for the resources you are providing on your site. I am thrilled about the Book of Mormon study guide.  It is well-written and interesting, and I can't wait to start it with my family.  Thank you, thank you, thank you.  Heidi

I'm just in the homeschool decision process and am so glad to have come across your website.  How wonderful to find some LDS homeschoolers who educate classically.  This is an answer to prayer.   Dana

Please notify me when your website is officially launched and all the program materials are ready.  I love what I have read so far and am very excited about using it with my daughter.  It sounds so wonderful.  Exactly what I have been looking for.  Thanks in advance.  Tabi

I discovered your website this past weekend and am very excited and pleased by what I have read. I look forward to your official website launch and would very much like to be contacted when the event occurs.  Your upcoming conference is one of the best I have ever seen. I wish I could attend; that will have to wait until next year, though. I live in Louisiana and it would be prohibitive to our budget to attend this year. Even so, I hope all goes well.  Pat

I just discovered the School of Abraham website and am very enthused about what I saw! I am an LDS homeschooler of a 5 and 7 year old, and I have been wishing for some time that there were more materials available for LDS homeschoolers. The School of Abraham appears to be an answer to prayer.  It seems the School of Abraham is still "in the works" -- am I right?  If so, do you know when these materials will be available? I am sold on the concept and am looking forward to learning how we can become involved. My husband and I are planning to attend the Saints and Scholars Conference in Bellevue in May, and I'm assuming we'll be able to learn more at that time. Yet, if you have any more information for us in the meantime about the School of Abraham, we would love to hear about it. Sincerely, Shari

I would like more information on your program. It sounds very interesting to me. I am in my first year homeschooling and still haven't figured it out, especially incorporating gospel study. Thank you, Lorna

Enjoyed reading your website. God bless. Brother Reed Benson

I am seriously considering home schooling my 8 year old. She is a gifted child, and needs extra challenges and learning opportunities. I found the School of Abraham on the internet. Could you please give me a little guidance? Thanks! Hollis

I have just found your website, and it looks to be really helpful. I loved The Conservative Worldview (Herrick). A Presbyterian in Pennsylvania, I am about to begin homeschooling the youngest, a 7th-grader, of my 3 gifted daughters. I am quite excited about the idea of Classical Christian education, the more so as I am a Latin teacher (though retired these 24 years, to be a full-time mother). We know that all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy, but in my daughter's school, all play and no work makes Alice a dull (stupid) girl:  a bad situation needing to be stopped. Thank you for your web publishing efforts. Sincerely yours, Louise

Your website REALLY interests me and I would LOVE to know more. Please fill me in! I know that the Lord blesses those who help others and whatever you can do to help me would be greatly appreciated. RoxAnne

As I have searched your web site I am so excited about the resources available to me and many others.  I have already started implementing a few of the ideas that were expressed on your site, and I am planning on sending away for your audio recording.  I am so delighted at what is offered here. I am in Canada, and would love to hear how this came about. My thanks and best wishes for what I have already received.  Angela

Just last week I registered my 3 youngest children in a home-link program that meets once a week in our school district.  I thought my children could handle my working part time since they were in school. But the problem is that even though I only worked an average of 8 hrs a week, we never knew when that would be: during a soccer game, etc.  My philosophy to "homeschool them only if they have a problem" has gone out the door. I want to help them NOW. Each one of them. My husband and I are willing to change our ways.  My question for you is--how can we help our children?   Roberta

I am a veteran homeschool mother.  I no longer have children at home.  They have all grown up. I taught my children for 12 years. I started when the oldest of 5 was in 9th grade.  I love your website.  I miss homeschooling, and sometimes do research for sites to recommend to a couple of friends who are schooling their children.  I also use some of the resources to improve myself.  Thank you, Denise

I keep milling about for the 'right' curriculum and keep winding up back here for the answers. Thanks for this resource it has been very calming to me as a newly declared homeschooler. I love the preschool storied scriptures just published. As a 'retired' editor I can appreciate how much work must go into to site of this depth.  Deborah

I just browsed over your home page. I'm a father and very interested in this program.

THANK YOU FOR THIS WEB SITE! IT HAS HELPED ME GET PSYCHED FOR MY FIRST YEAR HOMESCHOOLING MY YOUNGEST FOUR KIDS!

I have taught my children for three summers now, and am asking my husband to fast with me this Sunday to see if we feel that this should be a full time adventure. I have looked at many sites and am overwhelmed at how you have taken the time to put all this together. I am interested in reading more.  Thank You! Your sister in the gospel, Tammy

I'm amazed at the wealth of information on this website, and I'm so excited to have found it!  I have yet to explore it all!

I just came across your website tonight for the first time.  I am interested in knowing more about your homeschool program.  I read all I could on your website, but I am a bit confused as to how it all works.  I do like the ideas you've presented!  I understand that it is an individual study program, but I don't really understand how to get started with it.  Do you basically just provide a structure that we can use if we would like?  Is there a tuition fee, or is it only a website reference?  Any extra info you could give me would be wonderful!  Thank you, Sarah

My name is Tricia and my husband and I are the parents of 10 children. We have homeschooled for 15 years (nonstop). Our oldest is 19 and our youngest is 1 year old. I learned about this site just the other day and my biggest interest was the web page for Charlotte Mason users but I was never able to find your web page for that. Can you tell me if it actually exists or is out of commission. I just kept getting some crazy listbot page or something like that. I would appreciate any of your help. Plus keep me informed of any upcooming events or if anyone has questions about homeschooling that maybe my husband and could help with. We are in Wisconsin. Thank you. Tricia

Hi, I would like to be a contact person for LDS homeschoolers in Australia. I wrote to Janet Mackay a while back but have not heard from her. I don't think there are many of us and would like to get a nice little Ozzie support e-group together. I am based in South Australia, Happy Valley Ward, Marion Stake. There is only one other family homeschooling in SA that I know of for sure. Thanks for the service.  Regards, Helen

Please send me more information about the School of Abraham and how a home school can participate in it.  Tiffany

Your website is filled with so much wonderful information. I am however finding it hard to keep track of everything in an organized way? Is there a page that gives the recommended way that you teach the methods described? I am new to homeschooling and would sure appreciate any help. Thanks, Dawn

This site is BEAUTIFUL. The summer homeschool project idea is not only complete, it is a wonderful idea for helping our children to grow their own testimonies this summer. Thank you to those who are taking care of the School of Abraham website.  R.D.

I have read probably every bit of your site. Am I to understand that you will actually have a curriculum to offer at some point? Thank you, Pat

Just want you to know what a great service you are doing for home schooling families. We also loved your conference! It was one of the best we have been to. Thanks, The Larsen Family

We are currently participating in your Summer Program. We as a family are brand new to homeschooling and my children are still questioning what will happen. Last week, we saw "Testaments" at the Joseph Smith Building and we were listening to "Tennis Shoes Among the Nephites " cassette on the way home when we got into a discussion in the car about the "Gift of Tongues". I relayed to my children how the US ARMY came to MTC in Provo to investigate and find out how the church was so effective in teaching foreign languages . The Army was never ever able to replicate the program. The one reason MTC was so effective that it was done in the name of God.  My 13 year old son who was having much difficulty in the public school system said "Mom, does this mean if we do school work in the name of God I will be able to learn better?" "Most definitely," I replied.  Thank you for your work and your suggestions. Susan

I've been looking through the School of Abraham web page, but I haven't found any information on registration. How does this program work? It is perhaps written somewhere very clearly on the web page , but I haven't found out what I would do to use the curriculum. Please help! Angie

The School of Abraham site looks great! I'm glad someone sent this to me --- I'll pass it along! Homeschooling can get overwhelming - it's great to have someone with a similar focus to help do some of the planning and reasearch! Thanks I look forward to learning more!

I now have a daughter of first grade age, and a son of kindergarten age.Yyour program in full or part is very interesting to me. How do I receive the full information of what is available. I am definitely looking for a curriculum in which to base our home schooling experience.  Stephanie

I picked up a flyer at the Washington Homeschool Convention and have looked at your website. We enjoyed the Book of Mormon Study Guide on the website and wondered if you would be doing the same for the New and Old Testament and the Doctrine & Covenants. Unfortunately, I did not stop at your booth at the Convention but am wondering what you offered there (books, etc.). I look forward to hearing about your continued work!  Mary

I have just discovered your website and philosophy and am very interested.  I found The Storied Scriptures on your site and that the Old Testament is the only book listed so far and mention is made that more is coming.  I would like to know when the other books of scripture will be available. I look forward to hearing from you!! Michelle
