The
above picture is of Jenn. As she so aptly put it,
"Really."
She is
learning Gaelic, and loves to surprise people with highly
coherent outbursts of said language. ("Tha an gille
fluich!" That means, 'the child is wet'. I think.
Except not the 'I think' part.)
Her
chosen Elvish name is Tinúviel, which means 'nightingale.'
(She's really into irony, okay?)
She
plays the piano, and is currently serving as Mutual Pianist
in her ward. This means that she can often get away
with no other part in opening exercises.
Her
favorite movie is currently Lord of the Rings: The
Fellowship of the Ring (Extended Version), which won
this honor by having lots of nice pictures of Boromir in
it. Two Towers is second place, though, as it
has Faramir in it.
Her
favorite books are the Almighty Trilogy (aka Lord of the
Rings...) and Diane Duane's Young Wizards
series. She can't decide which is her most favorite,
so kindly wait while she plays eeny-meeny-miny-mo... OK...
(drumroll...) the choice
landed on Young Wizards. So that is officially
her favorite series.
She
listens to country music, despite the advice of her sweet
and caring friends, who say in concerned tones, "Country
music is evil! I don't see how you can listen to that
junk." She would like to express her gratitude for
this demonstration of their affection, and to reply, "I'll
darn well listen to what I want to, and I don't care what
you think."
She is
currently working on a fantasy series she has decided to
call The Hadrynian Chronicles. (Which will
consist of several books with fetchingly clichéd titles.)
She swears that she really will finish this series.
Honest.

(True
pictures of Jenn,
one of her holding her little brother [the mysterious
green-sleeved arm belongs to her younger sis] and one of
her in front of a Christmas tree. Duh. )
