An Update from
www.GetTheKidsOut.org
Our mission is to assist Christians to work
within their own denominations to alert parents of the
staggering loss of faith and morals in children who attend the
officially neutral "public schools," and help them find ways to
move children into Christian education, whether in campus
schools or home schooling. We're building on the
excitement from the Pinckney-Shortt resolution to the Southern
Baptist Convention annual meeting held in Indianapolis June
14-16, 2004. Below is the news release sent June 21, 2004
to over 2,000 U.S. news outlets, including 800 religious media.
Please visit
www.GetTheKidsOut.org to see reports on Indianapolis and why
those involved consider it, in spite of electoral defeat, a
major, unquestionable victory for advancing the GTKO cause.
In his announcement to the Alliance's 25,351
supporters, Fritz wrote,
"These studies show that the officially Godless government
schools are anything but neutral. Instead, they pose an
unacceptable risk to all families who want to raise their
children as believing Christians."

FRESNO, Calif., June 21 /U.S. Newswire/ --
Marshall Fritz, president of The Alliance for
the Separation of School & State, announced a
major expansion in his organization's effort to
improve K-12 education. A new division, "GetTheKidsOut.org"
will alert Christian parents of the staggering
loss of faith in children who attend "public
schools." See
www.GetTheKidsOut.org
Studies by George Barna, the Nehemiah Institute,
and the Southern Baptist Convention show that 70
percent to 88 percent of children from Christian
families will leave the faith after graduation.
In his announcement to the Alliance's 25,351
supporters, Fritz wrote, "These studies show
that the officially Godless government schools
are anything but neutral. Instead, they pose an
unacceptable risk to all families who want to
raise their children as believing Christians."
Inspired by the Christian Education Resolution
submitted by T.C. Pinckney and Bruce Shortt at
the recent Southern Baptist Convention,
GetTheKidsOut.org plans to assist Christians to
propose similar resolutions within their own
denominations at the national, regional, and
even the local-congregation levels.
According to Fritz, "The outpouring of media
coverage and popular interest began a
much-needed national dialogue. We'll see to it
that the conversation continues."
Future plans include a study kit for local
congregations to evaluate just how serious the
loss of faith by youth has been in their local
area, what temporary measures might help their
students practice "safe school," and what
creative schooling options might make Christian
education more widely affordable.
GetTheKidsOut.org will hold its first national
meeting Nov. 20-22, 2004, at the Omni Shoreham
Hotel, Washington D.C., as part of the
Alliance's "SepCon2004."
