I've Built Myself a Castle

I've built myself a castle
It's really beautiful
And lonely
I watch you sometimes,
From the highest window.
You don't ever see me
Because whenever anyone looks
I pull the curtain
I don't know why I do it
A cruel game of hide-'n'-seek
But not a game
I want so much to be found
But whenever anyone comes near
I run and hide again
I have to
But I don't know why

And now, you've stopped looking
I guess you think
I don't want to be found
Sometimes
I see you looking at my castle
It's beautiful, isn't it
I built it just to hide from you
I hate it
And I want out
You know,
I'd give anything
Just to be with you
But I've built myself a castle
