The School of Abraham presents the Saints and
Scholars 2001 Family Education Conference:
"Be not afraid, only
believe."
Welcome to our conference information page! We
are glad you're here. Please consider yourself our invited
guest. The Saints and Scholars conference is open to everyone in the community, of any
denomination.
As organizers of the
conference, we extend a warm invitation to parents of all
faiths, and hope that the commonality of
our beliefs in strong families, moral
values, and Christian principles will unite us in
furthering our goal of a better
education for our children.
And whatever the reason for your
visit to our website,
whether you are a non-homeschooling
parent, and want to help your children succeed in school and in
life, or if you are a veteran homeschooler looking for a fresh
start, if you want to
share what you've learned, or if you are a new homeschooler searching for help and
ways to implement your ideas, we're
here to help YOU, the parent--one of the most important folks in the
entire universe--to succeed! Together,
we can do it! Tomorrow is not too late,
no matter what the world will tell you. So join with us today,
because your children's future is TOMORROW. You
will want that
tomorrow to be a good one.
Our conference fills a special slot that
no other family education conference offers.
The School of Abraham seeks to foster spiritual and
moral development in an environment of academic rigor, with
a commitment to the lifelong education of the parents as
well as their children.
Because of this special focus, we are selective
about the vendors and speakers we invite to be represented
at our conference.
We hope you will consider seriously our invitation
to participate with us this year.

"In the future,
infrequent family scripture study may be inadequate to arm our children
with the virtue necessary to withstand the moral decay of the environment
in which they will live.
Where in the world will the children learn chastity, integrity,
honesty, and basic human decency if not at home?
"These values will, of course, be reinforced at church, but parental
teaching is more constant. In
my opinion, the teaching, rearing, and training of children requires more
intelligence, intuitive understanding, humility, strength, wisdom,
spirituality, perseverance, and hard work than any other challenge we
might have in life. This is
especially so when moral foundations of honor and decency are eroding
around us. To have successful
homes, values must be taught, and there must be rules, there must be
standards, and there must be absolutes...."
